Air Fried Plantain Chips


These Air Fried Plantain Chips are what we're snackin' on today! My inspiration behind this healthy and delicious snack is one of my favorite Trader Joe's find - their Jamaican Jerk Plantain Chips (yum!)


If you've never had a plantain before, don't let their banana-like appearance fool you - they are much starchier and lower in sugar.


Air frying them makes for a crunchy, potato chip-like flavor with a hint of sweetness! Throw a little of your favorite seasonings on them and boom, you'll never know that these are actually nutritious.


With what you already have in your pantry, making these costs you only $1. So...get making!

All you need are two plantains, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and avocado or olive oil! Minimal and simple.

Cut them up into thin pieces (the thinner, the crispier they'll be!), spray half of the oil onto the basket, arrange them in your air fryer basket like so, and sprinkle with the seasonings!


Air fry them at 400 for 5 minutes, check on them, and cook for an additional 5 minutes - or until you have that nice, crunchy crisp!


Store in pantry for up to a week & enjoy!!!
